Visitors to our website can listen to part of all your songs for free,
to help them decide if your music is for them. They can easily buy your
CD or individual tracks online by clicking on the ‘buy now’ button that
we add to the site.
For a very affordable fee to an up and coming band, we can release your first item. For an even lesser fee we can release subsequent items. (Payable upon each release). What you get with the Standard Service: 1. A unique webpage on the Dirt Track Records website; 2. The opportunity for music fans worldwide to buy your CDs direct from Dirt Track Records; 3. Purchase of INDIVIDUAL tracks from the Dirt Track Records website; 4. The opportunity to appear at special promotional gigs with other artists on the label; 5. Distribution to select retailers in the Southwest of England (at Dirt Track Records discretion). Importantly for you, this is a non-exclusive deal and you can continue to sell CDs at your own gigs, on your own behalf. However, if people see you live and love your killer song they can download it at home for a very reasonable sum before investing in the whole CD of songs. For every CD that is sold either online or through retailers distributed to by Dirt Track Records you will get 70% of the net sale price (after distributors fee). For every track that is downloaded and paid for from the website you will get 50% of the sale price. Dirt Track Records require: - Master audio red-book standard CD submitted to DTR. (Red book standard simply means a CD that will play in normal CD players – i.e. not rewritable CDs etc which will only play in specially adapted CD players). - At least one 128kbs mp3 for use as downloadable songs which are paid for by music fans from the DTR site. - A high resolution CD cover image in Jpeg format; - At least one artist photo - An artist biography; - Artist contact information Choosing this service means: non-exclusive permission to broadcast and use samples of your music via the Dirt Track Records website without royalty. |
